Benefits of Ashwagandha

Ash wagahhaa? Or at least that’s what I thought when I first came across this ayurvedic (natural healing system derived in India over 5,000 years ago) powder.  Here’s the skinny on this magical root:

  • Comes in a powder form that you can put into your coffee, tea, anything really! Just need something to mask the taste a bit as it’s bitter
  • Promotes immune health
  • Promotes healthy digestion
  • Helps to ease stress and relieve anxiety
  • Fights inflammation
  • Lowers cholesterol and blood pressure

I figured that if I saw it on Goop then it must be good, so I decided to give it a try.  After putting it in my coffee for about a month, I must say that I’m hooked.

Not only do I notice that it has helped with inflammation but it truly helps with my mind as well.  It sounds silly, but after taking this every day I do feel calmer and able to handle stress better.  I’m even a bit sharper at work.
