Lately I’ve been so busy with work and yoga classes/homework that I haven’t been able to keep up with other priorities in my life. I’ve had more takeout dinners, less time to write, lots of early yoga classes and have even been studying during lunch to keep up. Sometimes it’s a little daunting but then I remember that I’m the one that signed up for all of this.
This upcoming weekend we are headed to Ocean Reef and I couldn’t be more excited. I’ve already got my schedule all figured out – including Latin dance class, a spa treatment or two, golf, cardio tennis, a boating excursion and yes, I’ve even built in time to spend time at the pool. Call me type A but I love to plan out vacations to make the most of them. However, we are going to head home on Monday afternoon and I also couldn’t be more excited to have the entire day open on Tuesday.
I decided to take Tuesday off to rest, recoup and perhaps cook a TON of food for the upcoming week. With everything going on, and so much more to come this spring, it’s the days that you have absolutely nothing going on to cherish. Who knows, maybe while food is cooking I could reorganize my closet like I’ve been hoping to do, maybe I’ll decide to sleep until noon, or maybe I’ll go to a yoga class and go to my favorite coffee shop and just BE. Life can get crazy, and overwhelming, and sometimes I think everyone can feel as though it’s too much, BUT, even if you did or did not sign up for the crazy that’s coming your way – just breathe and BE. If you can snag a day off, great, but if you can make time for one moment in your day to remember that you’re awesome, you can do it ALL and breathe, everything will fall into place 🙂
